New Clinical Step added to RFP
A new Clinical step has been added to the RFP. This new step is designed to capture valuable information related to a PBM’s biosimilar strategy, utilization management programs, patient assistance program, international sourcing program, and copay assistance program. This information will help brokers better compare pricing offers by providing insight into certain clinical features that can impact the guarantees. It will also provide additional information related to the costs of a PBM's clinical programs.
The new clinical step will appear as Step 6 in the RFP. Some of the fields in the new step will be required. If you try to make changes to an existing bid from a PBM you will need to populate the required fields with placeholders to save the edited bid. PBMs are being notified of the change and a special notification will be going out to any PBM with a open bid due in the next week.
While the new step will appear when creating a new RFP, it is not required. The requirement only exists on the side of the responding PBMs.
Option to Choose Coversheet
A new screen has been added when creating an RFP that will allow you to select a specific cover sheet to be used for that RFP. By default everyone has access to the standard Rx cover sheet, but if you have elected to create a custom cover sheet with your own specific questions, you can now select the desired cover sheet from within the RFP workflow.
Additionally, this new screen will also give you the ability to select a stored contract to pre-populate the majority of the RFP. For groups without any stored contracts, you can leave the contract field blank and proceed with creating the RFP.
New Book of Business Utilization Summary Report
A new Book of Business Utilization Summary Report has been added to the reports library. This new report is designed to provide you with a range of financial and utilization metrics for each group within your book of business. Metrics include:
