Below are the stages to manage Request workflow and lifecycles:

| Drafting | Issuer | Initial stage upon RFP creation. |
| Renewal Requested | Issuer |
The Request Type is "Existing Business" and the issuer has only invited the Incumbent to respond. This will move to "Sent to Market" when additional Carriers are invited. |
| Sent to Market | Issuer |
The issuer has invited responder(s) to the Request. |
| Shortlist | Issuer | The issuer has moved quote response(s) to "Shortlist", often to signify to the Carrier they are requesting a Firm quote. This stage will persist as long as a quote response remains in "Shortlist" |
| Awarded | Issuer | The issuer has moved a quote response to "Won" and remaining quote responses are in "Lost" or "Declined". |
| Bound | Issuer / Responder |
Is a final stage signifying the winning Carrier and the has issued a Firm and Final quote that has been accepted. |
| Closed | Issuer | Is a final stage signifying the Request was not successful and did not result in a Bound Quote. |
