When claims are ingested into the Smart-LinQ system, they are assigned to a member. These claims are then rolled up together into a single filing and will follow Smart-LinQ's Specific Stop-Loss staging logic.
There are four types of Specific Stop-Loss filings:
| Filing Type | Description |
| Initial |
The first filing a member has. These will continue to be in "Accumulating" until they breach:
|
| Subsequent |
Subsequent member filings to the Initial filing.
If the Policy is Advanced Funding eligible, this filing type will only have Paid Claims. If it is not Advanced Funding eligible, then both Paid and Unpaid Claims will reside. |
| Advanced Funded | Subsequent member filings to the Initial filing if the Policy is Advanced Funding. This filing consists only of Unpaid Claims. If an Unpaid Claim is updated to Paid, it will automatically be moved to a Subsequent Filing Type. |
| Final |
This is the Final filing that the administrator wishes to send to the carrier/MGU for the member. The end user designates this by changing the Filing Type to Final |
